It's been a while now since objections closed on 2nd June and we know many people have been asking when our elected Councillors may have a chance to vote on this appalling proposal.
However it's unsurprising really that, after well over 4,000 objections have been recorded against the application, Council officers have taken much longer than the usual 4-6 weeks to evaluate all the material and come up with a recommendation to be voted on. We have been monitoring Council's DA Tracker and can tell you the expected decision time-frame has been changed a few times. The latest we can report is that on 23rd August Council wrote to the Developer "requesting an extension of time to assess and decide the application...for a further 40 business days.... until the 25 October 2023."
We note that Council's published 2023 meeting schedule provides for a meeting on 25th October, however, please be aware the Agenda for these meetings is not released until around a week before.
