Make no mistake — the Development Application from the developer has been re-lodged and if approved, the impact and scale would be enormous!
The proposed development includes 243 Retirement units and a 120 bed Aged Care facility which will be a 24 hour operation. This will immediately change the feel, character, layout, stormwater, infrastructure, traffic and amenity of North Lakes forever.
In addition to the massive retirement village and nursing home facility that is proposed, the developer has also applied for additional uses on the open-space — including rezoning land to shops (examples: fast food, take away, sale of alcohol).
Your say will be very important. Once objections have opened we will mobilise and inform everyone how to submit a properly made objection to Council. We will also have a community-wide meeting soon — please watch out for dates.
