Objections have now opened - and will close on Friday 2nd June 2023.
This DA is all about the destruction of green open space - and will involve heavy large scale construction lasting years. The result will be hundreds of privately owned townhouses and a huge 120 bed aged care facility⌠as well as the potential for land to be sold off and/or even more townhouses, schools or other buildings to be constructed in the future!
This DA will fundamentally undermine important planning protections provided by the DCP master plan over the last 20 plus years. It has nothing to offer our North Lakes community. It will destroy hundreds of thousands of square meters of precious green open space, wildlife flora and fauna!
2. Mango Hill Progress Association Monthly Meeting tonight Wednesday 19th April.
Time: 6.30pm Anzac Commemoration Service
7.30pm Monthly Meeting - Agenda includes: concerns about proposed planning law changes affecting DCP, update from SNLGC on DA, local road issues.
Location: Mango Hill Community Centre, Chermside Rd, Mango Hill
SNLGC representatives will be there to answer your questions and assist anyone with the objection process.
We are looking forward to a good attendance to show your support. Local politicians often attend these meetings.
At this stage we donât plan to live stream tonightâs meeting. We do plan to offer several other âin personâ opportunities for community members to obtain assistance with their objections, dates will be announced as soon as possible.
Please note that ALL members of your household can object⌠Individuals do NOT need to live in North Lakes or Moreton Bay Region.
