We've had a really encouraging ramp up in activity over the past week - lots of people chatting to groups, letterbox drops well underway and more posters around our beautiful community. Thank you so much to all those who have objected so far. It is really making a difference.
One key point we've noticed though is that there are a number of objections that have been determined by MBRC to have been 'not properly made'. This is a standard part of their rigorous process (nothing to do with the views expressed!) but necessary to ensure all can be counted.
As you can imagine, there is quite a volume coming through, but each objection should be acknowledged by Council by email within a few working days. This will either say 'properly made' or 'not properly made'. If yours is 'properly made' well done! It will be read and taken into account. However if it's 'not properly made' it will need to be resubmitted before 2nd June to be taken into account. So if you can all check your emails please, rectify any errors and resubmit that would be awesome!
We're finding the most common reason is the details at the bottom are incomplete. All the fields marked with an asterisk * are compulsory ie you can't put North Lakes on the address line, it must go in the suburb space. Same for postcode, which can't be left out or on the address line. Also no typos or shorthand are allowed in the street name.

Please share this info with neighbours, friends, colleagues and family far and wide. Numbers do matter!!!
