For those anticipating a decision on 25th October 2023, as previously advised, it looks like Council still has a way to go with their review and consideration of this potentially disastrous DA for all of us.
The latest information we have is that Council sent a further letter to the Developer on 5th October 2023, with more questions and comments requiring a response. This letter, which you can view with the link below, runs to 12 pages and covers no fewer than 28 points! As you can imagine, the concerns are quite wide-ranging - including treatment of areas mapped as flooding concerns, dealing with the proposed wildlife corridor, confusion over removal and replacement of vegetation, lack of clarity as to the amount of land to be "transferred to Council for the purposes of open space and drainage" etc.
Whilst the letter requires a response by no later than 25th October 2023 and puts the anticipated decision time frame at "no earlier than 24th November 2023", it's fair to say the ball is well and truly back in the Developer's court again now. We note that, should the time frame outlined in the letter be maintained, there are Council meetings scheduled for 22nd November 2023 and 13th December 2023. Please be aware also that the Agenda for these meetings is not released until around a week before.
